Call for Action

With only one full week remaining in the 2010 Legislative Session, we are very focused on seeing Florida Realtor priorities through the process.

During Great American Realtor Days two weeks ago, Realtors spoke to their legislators about supporting initiatives that would provide for a more equitable property tax system for business and new Homestead owners.  The amendment currently on the November ballot as Amendment 3 needs to be slightly enhanced and we need your help today to encourage Senators to complete what they’ve started.

By participating in this Call for Action today, you will send the message to your Senator that they must support passage of SJR 1254 this session.  This measure by Senator Fasano would provide for the 5% Assessment cap on ALL non homestead properties AND it would provide additional assessment relief to first time Florida homestead property owners, while holding schools harmless.
